Visual Ethics and Rhetoric
This article is fairly interesting as it pertains to the visual display of information in the business plan (since I am a CGT major). It can also provide some valuable insight into the visual display of information that may otherwise go unnoticed. When creating the business plan, all areas of ethics are important to consider, especially visual displays of information.
Alpha Teach Yourself: Business Plans
I liked this book because it breaks everything down into easy to understand sections. It has divided the business plan into 24 1-hour sections. The book not only describes the business plan production process, but also goes into detail about what investors look for in a business plan, how to make it stand out, and how to decide which elements to include in the plan. I think this is a good fit for our group because it doesn't target specific individuals, it makes everything easy to understand by all parties involved.

Make me an offer I can't refuse.
Show me how I can use you. Sell me only what you're prepared to deliver. Go ahead, make me an offer I can't refuse.
This pretty much sums up what most employers are looking for when reviewing resumes. They don't want to have to think about how you can be useful, or figure out what your resume is trying to convey about you. They want to be able to look at the resume and know exactly what you bring to the table and know that you can deliver on your obvious achievements.
Pitch Reaction (Video)
After reviewing the video of my product pitch, I have come to understand a little bit more about how I portray myself to others as opposed to how I thought I did. Overall, there weren't too many surprises it seemed to go pretty much like I thought it did. However, I did notice a few things. First, and most importantly I suppose, was the fact that I moved my arms a whole lot. This probably comes from not knowing what to do with my hands when I talk so I just flail them about subconsiously.

Role of Writing
What is the role of writing and persuasion for an entrepreneur? How does that relate to what you hope to get from the course
How I voted
I voted the way I did based on a few reasons. First of all, the feasibility of the idea was extremely important. Just like any investor would be thinking about this, I thought it was important, especially if I would be an employee of this project the rest of the semester. It would be hard to complete an effective business plan on an idea that isn't feasible.
Business Pitch Analysis
Over the years at Purdue I have given 3 or 4 Business Idea pitches. From those, I like to think I have learned a thing or two about effective presentation techniques. However, when you are on the spot, all the rules seem to change.
